Our beloved old lady in a black dress is hatching a plan for revenge. And for this, she united with the Black Lord, oh, or rather, with the Lord of Darkness, whose name is Shadow Boss. Our cute toads realized that the probability of their battered anuses is one hundred percent, and they decided to unite with brothers Billy and Jimi Lee so that it would not hurt so much. Now we have a super team, and we can go on the road with the hope that the brunette with the cloak will still give them. This game was developed by Rare and published by Tradewest in 1993. It also has versions, as you know, for Nintendo and Super Nintendo.

Let's take a look at our band. There are five large muzzles, as you can see. These are three mutant toads and two human cubs. How do they differ, besides color, size? Of course, its characteristics and capabilities. Toads and Dragon Brothers have different hits and combos. Toads move faster, but they can't kick while jumping. They also use sticks in different ways, and Bartya Li are able to step on the fingers of enemies when they hang on a pipe. This is where the diversity between them ends, like everything good in this world.

The game has seven levels. I think everyone who played it especially remembered the third one, because it was the most dumb and hardcore, partly because of the control. It was simply unbearable, and psychos accompanied us throughout the level.

You will be opposed by all kinds of mutants, cyborgs, in some places even acrobats. Yes, yes, there is a level on a rocket, where you will be attacked by incomprehensible acrobats, throwing shurikens at you. In Battletoads & Double Dragon, all levels end with bosses and you need to use different tactics in a duel with them. For example, the first boss of Abobo, by the way, is very popular in other games. It can be zakolbasit simple strikes and timely retreat. And the third has a machine gun and you can’t kill him that easily. Here you need to crouch, jump and select the right moment when to hit him.

By the way, from the Double Dragon games only characters remained here. And all because the developers of this game did not take part in the creation of this project. But in vain .. A little more elements from this game would obviously not hurt here. And in all other respects the game is still the same good old Battletoads. For the most part, you will have to deal with the same topics as in the first part, only it is more thoughtful and elaborated, which is evidenced by the presence of three modes. In the first game there were only two of them, the same mode for one player, and for two with the ability to beat each other. Here, in addition to these two modes, there is a third one - without the possibility of hitting a friend. This element took a lot of hardcore out of the project.

What can you say about graphic design? It has no flaws here. Everything is drawn just superb. From characters and environments to animations. The musical accompaniment is simply incredible. I still remember it, and at any time I can scroll through the melodies from each level in my head.
