Disney's Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers: The Adventure in Nimnul's Castle
Disney's Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers: The Adventure in Nimnul's Castle is an arcade game for the well-known Disney series about Chip and Dale, the first of the games in this series and the only one released on PC. As a plot, one of the many stories of the confrontation between the Rescue team and the mad scientist Professor Nimnula was chosen, who, in charisma, is inferior to the brave chipmunks from the villains-opponents except to the cat Tolstopuz. More specifically, you need to save Rocky, who was captured by an evil genius.
First, immediately about the unpleasant (for some people, perhaps) - you can not play for Dale. Only for Chip, that is, for the correct and reasonable bore, squinting under Sherlock Holmes. There is a Dale in the game, he is always there, he teases and beckons us with his tricks, but he is always controlled by a computer, which is a pity ... But maybe it was just me who could not find a way to play for Dale.
The game consists of many levels, which can conditionally be divided into groups. In the first three, Chip and Dale are just making their way to Nimnul Castle. Here it is necessary to jump both up and neatly down (into the pits), dodging evil mechanical dogs and acidic “spits”. The next three levels are climbing stairs (to be more precise, going horizontally along it, you will see for yourself - you will understand): The chip must dodge the burning candles, collect the cogs and throw them to Dale so that he defends them from the dogs that are chasing him. The last three levels are almost the same, but the famous "mechanical hands" made by Nimnul act as an adversary: Chip, crawling along the ledge on the ceiling, must dodge these hands and collect the screws again, throwing them to Dale again to protect them from metal dogs . Also, the cogs must be given (however, this is not the moment of the game) to Whack (the fly), who, in turn (this is also implied), will hand them over to Gadget, who will fix the Rescuers plane and save everyone at the end of the game. So there are “cut scenes” (very beautifully drawn).
The graphics in the game itself (not in the scenes described above), if not very beautiful, are at least pretty. The view in the game is completely sideways, the models of heroes (unlike the backgrounds) look slightly blurry. In general - a fun and not too difficult game, but it is still worth recommending only to children or the biggest fans of Chip and Dale (rather, even Chip).
P.S.: In general, it’s very difficult to fight with Professor Nimnul morally - especially if you recall WHAT he did for the old-fashioned gamers around the world (whoever is a real old-fashioned gamer will understand).
