Sonic The Hedgehog 2

After the first part, Sonic The Hedgehog 2 came out. This time Sonic wants to take a vacation. He has a Tornado plane he is traveling on. The plane crashes and it turns out to be on WestSide Island. This is a new island.

It so happened that Dr. Eggman also flew here for the chaos emeralds, which were scattered in the first game. There were six of them, and now it's seven. Eggman did not abandon his plan and is going to load the weapon Death Egg - Egg of death. The main character is noticed by the fox cub Miles Tails, who liked Sonic's coolness, and who starts to run after him. He has two tails, and with their help he can fly. By the way, Sonic himself is not very hung up on it. Probably Sonic Team was simply unable to program a good artificial intelligence, this explains Tails' persistent problems in the game. Sonic sees potential in shallow. Also Tails is a good mechanic.

The game looks even brighter. Sonic is finally really blue here. And also here I began to notice how cool the music is. The melody of the Emerald Hill Zone, the Chemical Plant Zone, and the Casino Night Zone during the boss battle are some of the best in the Sonic game series. In the game, the developers added a spin dash: you hold the button down and hammer the jump button - this way you can accelerate in place. Thanks to this, the level design has changed. Previously, there was a lot of space .. well, that was where to accelerate. Now the whole is capacious and clear. The level is not so tight in certain places, but every corner is filled with something: objects, badnik, secrets.

The game has a remarkable zone of Sky Chase, where we fly to the "Tornado", and the last zone of the Death Egg Zone in space. Apparently hedgehogs can breathe in space :). Here you will not have rings and there are two whole bosses: Silver Sonic and Death Egg Robot. Silver can still be defeated, but on the second I merge.

You can play for Tails. It is not very different from a hedgehog, but if you connect a second gamepad, then you can play together. And this is cool, because Tails has an endless supply of lives and can be used as cannon fodder. There is also a competition mode, but the picture is not divided in the best way.

Spetial Stage levels are decently different from the first part. Still collect the rings, but you need to jump over the checkpoint. The levels themselves are others - with a rear view. We collect rings here and dodge obstacles. You need to collect a certain amount to get the emerald, but the drawing distance is bad. It is not clear what lies ahead, and scrolling is strange.

By gathering we all get Super Sonic. Super Sonic has a yellow color and it is even faster as well as invulnerable.
In general, the developers took everything that worked in the first part and made it even better. The graphics are pleasing to the eye, and passing the loops is even funnier. It is evident that they tried.
