Uncharted Waters 2: New Horizons
Uncharted Waters 2: New Horizons is a trading simulator with RPG elements, quests and pirate treasures.
1522 The Age of Great Geographical Discovery. Then fleets ruled the seven seas, ruthless pirates robbed merchant ships and searched for hidden treasures, and scientists claimed that the Earth was round. Six brave travelers from around the world begin their journey. During their adventures in the remote corners of our world, each of them will become themselves - they will find their own path, many friends, experience and wisdom.
You are invited to imagine yourself as a young sailor and sail to all four directions of the world. A lot of adventures across the seas and oceans await you. Each character you play will meet other heroes of the game during incredible adventures. During the game, the player is given the opportunity to visit the unknown lands of Santo Domingo, explore the polar regions - the Arctic and Antarctic, find Anlantis, and gain the glory of Columbus by going west. The heroes' adventures include the defeat of the Spanish Armada and other military fleets.
The game begins on May 17, 1522.
There are 6 different characters to choose from, each with their own storylines (it must be said that they often intersect during the game):
- Joao Franco is the son of Duke Leon Franco, the hero of the first game. His father sends young Juan to sea, as a sailor, to master the skills of maritime affairs, trade, and explore new lands for the glory of Portugal. Traveling around the world, he hopes to uncover the mystery of the disappearance of Atlantis. Juan is the only hero who starts at level one.
- Catalina Eranzo was a Spanish naval officer. She left the service to enjoy the life of a pirate and take revenge on the Portuguese for the mysterious disappearance of her brother and fiancé. This character is based on the real Catalina de Erauso.
- Pietro Conti is an Italian treasure hunter. Travels the world in search of treasure to pay off his family's debts.
- Ernst Van Boer is a Dutch cartographer and former geography teacher. Goes on a journey to map the world.
- Otto Baynes is a British officer in the service of His Majesty the King. Promoted to admiral of the British fleet. Receives a letter of marque and goes to fight the Spaniards.
- Ali Vezas is a Turkish merchant. A former orphan, he dreams of making a fortune in trading. Having received a small loan, he buys his first ship and sets off on his first voyage with a hold full of goods.
During their adventures in the remote corners of our world, each of them will become themselves - they will find their own path, many friends, experience and wisdom.
The game takes place all over the globe. Ship battles and duels take place in a step-by-step mode. You can recruit up to 10 ships into your squadron (to do this you need to find sailors who are usually hired in a tavern). During the battle, they can be given orders (swim, swim away, turn around, shoot, board). In addition, when approaching an enemy ship, you can challenge the flagship captain to a duel, if successful, the entire enemy fleet becomes yours.
Among other things, the game contains many historical figures, various sea legends, mythological creatures, monsters and superstitions: sometimes you can see a ghost ship, a mermaid or a siren, after which sailors will jump overboard, you can meet real pirates and historical figures of that time, you can get into a storm and calm it with the help of balm. From time to time, the ship's crew may desert right before a battle if they treat you poorly, or they may escape from the ship when stopping in beautiful exotic places.
Game Features:
- Historically accurate event and geographical execution of the game.
- A well-developed and interesting plot that connects all the characters in the game.
- The game is not limited to the topic of piracy or trade. The storylines and goals of the characters have significant differences: trade, piracy, military duty, geographical exploration, adventurism.
- The gameplay is varied and detailed - this includes managing the fleet during voyage, recruiting a team, organizing the team's meals, a turn-based naval battle mode, a duel mode and much more.
- A large number of ships that have a real historical existence.
- Ability to buy various equipment and items.
